Demitec-UV complies with requirements of Norwegian Offshore Authorities

In order to comply with the stringent requirements set forth by the Norwegian NIPH, Hatenboer-Water has expanded its line of Demitec systems with the Demitec-UV® Phi line. This new product is absolutely market leading.

UV disinfection is a very clean technique, partly because the radiation treatment leaves no traces in the water. The radiation produced by the UV treatment damages bacteria and viruses, making it impossible for a cell to exist in the water as a living organism.

Ultra violet radiation is extremely well suited for disinfection of potable water, industrial process water, irrigation water for crops and as legionella disinfectant. Also, UV disinfection is used in the removal of unwanted substances, for example chloramines in swimming water or TOC in process water.

For this wide range of needs Hatenboer-Water has designed a line of standardized systems, called Demitec. Ranging from small low-cost systems, up to the highly advanced Demitec-UV® Phi line. Quality, reliability and simple maintenance are the basic principles of their design.

Apart from the standard design, a Demitec-UV system can be completely custom built conform the needs of the user.

Examples of recent projects are with one of the largest dredging companies worldwide Jan de Nul, Vrumona softdrinks and Diergaarde Blijdorp Zoo. Blijdorp has a number of very large aquariums which contain delicate species of fish. These fish can only survive in biologically very pure (warm) seawater. Due to the corrosive nature of that environment, Hatenboer-Water designed a special Demitec-UV system made from the plastic HDPE, which is corrosion resistant and does not affect the water.
