Thermen Holiday: conscious decision choosing LiquiTech

“In the area of hygiene and safety, Liquitech definitely takes a load of our mind!”
Sherita Narain, Director of Thermen Holiday and Dutch Black Businesswoman of the Year 2007

Thermen Holiday is a leading company in the field of sauna and wellness. Together with her brother, Sherita Narain is the driving force behind the Thermen Holiday concept. To become, and in particular to continue to be front-runners, the owners’ policy is founded on four pillars: friendly and helpful personnel, hygiene and safety, culinary enjoyment and being and remaining trendsetters. In the area of hygiene and safety a conscious decision was made in choosing Liquitech.

Young organization
Thermen Holiday is a relatively young complex; it has been in existence only 5 years. During construction, a great deal of attention was paid to creating the optimum piping network, conforming to the latest requirements. “Our systems and the pipework are relatively young,” says Narain. “Through careful design and construction and constant maintenance there is no dead-end pipework in existence on our premises. In the careful maintenance carried out by our maintenance service, a great deal of attention is paid to hygiene and safety. The risk of the growth of Legionella is therefore virtually nil.”

Extra certainty
“In order to gain extra certainty and to guarantee safety, we decided to take additional measures. It was therefore no coincidence that we went for the Liquitech management concept offered by Hatenboer-Water. The patented LiquiTech technology has been used successfully around the world for more than 15 years. With almost 1000 systems sold, it is the market leader in this field of effective and intensively researched treatment technology. And that is reassuring,” according to Narain.

A good report from KIWA
“The LiquiTech management concept integrates a proven disinfection technique with an excellent service programme, so that its users no longer need to concern themselves about combating the Legionella problem,” says Peter-Willem Hatenboer, managing director of Hatenboer-Water. In the Netherlands, KIWA was commissioned by the Dutch Ministry for Housing, Regional Development and the Environment to carry out research into this technology, and came to the following conclusion: “Copper/silver ionization is an effective technique for combating Legionella in complex mains water installations.” Hatenboer: “That says a lot about the dependability of this solution.”

Fits in well with Thermen
“We are very pleased with the Liquitech solution. In this way, the reduction in the formation of Legionella is absolutely guaranteed; we therefore have to leave nothing to chance. And that fits in well within our concept,” says a delighted Sherita Narain.
