RO seawater desalination unit for offshore support |

Demitec® Reverse Osmosis (RO) Sea Water Desalination units for fresh water production. The maritime units are designed for the heavy duty conditions on board of seagoing vessels and offshore installations and there fore constructed of high quality materials. The RO units are equipped with a sea water intake pump, extensive pre treatment, high quality membranes, anti scalant dosing unit, membrane cleaning (CIP) unit and slow running high pressure plunger pump. An example of one of our heavy duty RO units is our delivery for the offshore support ship which is recently built at the Dutch ship yard. The ship is equipped with two identical units of 20 m3/day each, taking care of the total fresh water production on board. Hereunder a picture of one of the two units, a Demitec model SW 8040/02, which is installed on the starboard side of the ship. The second unit is installed on the port side. The capacity is based on a salinity of 35000 ppm at a sea water temperature of 25 °C.  |
