Filter media activated carbon
Activated carbon is a porous form of carbon, which can be manufactured from a variety of carbonaceous raw materials. The media we stock is made from coconut shell or coal.
The coconut shell based activated carbon is produced by high temperature steam activation of specially selected coconut shell char. Activated carbon is an ideal medium for the removal of chlorine, chloramines, disinfection byproducts and other compounds which create colour, taste and odor.
