Reduce plastic, What can you do?
Did you know...
- Using a reusable water bottle helps the environment in all the ways plastic bottles harm it.
- When one person switches to a reusable water bottle, on average 217 plastic water bottles are saved from going to landfills. On board even many, many more!
- One stainless steel water bottle is equal to 50 plastic bottles in manufacturing energy consumption.
The impact of reusable bottles
- EVERY 60 SECONDS, AN INCREDIBLE 1 MILLION SINGLE-USE PLASTIC BOTTLES are bought around the world.
- A REUSABLE WATER BOTTLE CAN REMIND YOU TO STAY HYDRATED when it’s with you most of times. Look at it as a gauge for how much water you’ve had and need.
- PLASTIC BOTTLES TAKE UP TO 450 YEARS TO DISSOLVE and 80% of our plastics will not be recycled.
- At the current rate, plastic pollution WILL OUTGROW THE FISH POPULATION IN OUR WATERS BY 2050.
Safe water for you
Water production you can trust
The Everpure MRS-225 CC reverse osmosis unit offers tailored blending of incoming water. The distilled water is converted to the drinking water fountain where it is chilled and goes through a filtration stage to provide tasty and healthy water!
How does it work?
The 3-step MRS-225 concept guards against taste and odor causing contaminants while removing dirt, particulates and dissolved minerals that can adversely affect taste of water and beverages.
Step - 1
The activated carbon and membrane protector removes chemicals and unwanted pollution particles to protect the Reverse Omosis (RO) membrane.
Step - 2
The MRS-225 RO Membrane produces purified water through RO technology by filtrating viruses and bacteria.
Step - 3
The 7CC Feeder slowly mixes essential minerals with the product water for optimum health and maximum taste.
FEATURES MRS-225 CC SYSTEM
- Chlorine taste & odor reduction
- Particulate reduction
- TDS reduction
- Scale inhibition
- Mineral boost
Chilled Water on Spot
Since Elkay bottle filling stations are connected to the Everpure MRS-225 RO unit and are equipped with an additional Everpure filter which improves water taste, color and odor, the water you’ll be drinking is even cleaner than the bottled variety! The water is brought to you chilled, purified, mineralized and free of any contaminants, just bring your own reusable bottle for a refill. Let’s check out the key features.
Maintenance
Make sure to replace the filters in time! Consistent maintenance is essential to ensure Safe Water on Board and to prevent damaging of equipment. Make sure all replacement filters are replaced as indicated. The RO unit has 3 cartridges, the water tap point has 1.
Filter head (A)
Depending on the model – a 6TO BW or 7TO BW cartridge fits this first (left) filter head. These cartridges contain Granular Activated Carbon and are focused to mainly handle taste, odor and chlorine.
Change-out: every 6 months
Filter head (B)
Depending on the model a 100 / 225 / 350 GPD RO membrane cartridge fits the central filter head. These cartridges contain the membrane filtration that can remove up to 95% of all mineral salts from the water as well as most organic chemicals, chlorine and by-products, pesticides herbicides etc. The membrane forms a barrier for bacteria and viruses and therefore produces safe water. When outgoing pressure drops, the cartridge needs to be replaced.
Change-out: every 2-3 years
Filter head (C)
Depending on the model a 7CC BW / 7DM BW / BW400 cartridge fits this filter head 7CC BW Calcite filter: Increases water hardness by introducing a small amount of calcium carbonate minerals into low hardness/TDS waters. Resulting in balanced drinking water.
Replace: every 1 year

Maritime (Drinking) Water Flow Chart
Hatenboer-Water created the maritime (drinking) water flow chart to give you some more understanding of all steps to be considered for a reliable design and maintenance of your water production, storage and distribution lay out. In other words, how to create Safe Water on Board. Our installed base of thousands of operating water systems gives us a thorough understanding of water flows, applicable regulations and the influences from outside that might influence your water quality.
